    Default Cooling Bungalow Without Attic?

    Cooling Bungalow Without Attic?
I own a 1920s Bungalow that was remodeled in the 1980s, a remodel which sacrificed the attic area of the house for tall ceilings in the upper floor.

This house gets very warm upstairs in the summer. We are about to have our house re-roofed and wonder if there are any solutions we might try to cool the house off in the summer.

The last time it was re-roofed, the roofer installed more vents but said that the issue is that there is no room for the meager insulation to work.

There are three bedrooms in the upstairs portion of the house so I'm not sure that a whole house fan will work, but there are a few small closets on the edge of rooms where one could conceivably go, although there is no current way to vent the flow out.

Any thoughts or suggestions welcome. Thanks in advance.

You should check for solar energy solutions for that, I am sure there are plenty to chose from and the only cost you'll have is the installation of the system.
