    Default Garage Door Opener

We're replacing old sliding doors and installing a new garage door and opener. Because of track lighting on the ceiling, I'm considering having the opener on one side of the tracks, as opposed to the center. (I"m told the center opener can be done but it will add to a mish-mash of tracks, etc on the ceiling.)

I'm wondering if these side Torsion openers are as strong and sturdy as one that would be in center. I've heard competing stories from two different estimators.

    Thank.

Side openers don't work as well and will tear the door apart from the stress of lifting from the side rather than the center

You're better off relocating/adding lighting track than to use a side opener.
I suffer from CDO ... Its like OCD, but in alphabetical order, LIKE IT SHOULD BE!!!
