Default Installing a small basement window through a granite foundation wall

I have an 1870 federal style colonial with a partial dirt basement. In addition there is an underground stream that rears it's ugly head when the water table is full and passes thruough the basement wall to a drainage culvert at the end of the basement to the street. My problem is that there is no ventilation. The foundation is made of large slabs of granite or something similar. I would like to cut into it and install at least 2 windows to vent this space, any suggestions? I do realize I will have to probably dig into the ground and create a well around the window.

    Thanks

You're going to need some heavy duty equipment to do the cutting .
To be honest this isn't really a DIY project.
Contact a company that specializes in cutting /core drilling to do the cutouts.
