    Default unused area under deck

got a 15' x 16' deck that is about 7' off the ground next to the house and about 10'off the ground furthest away from the house. currently have dirt that is forming troughs due to rain from deck. I use the space for storage i.e. covered lawnmower, trash cans, etc..should i form two terraces using the interior post that support the deck or build one retaining wall using the exterior support post, lay felt paper, and cover with stone? don't want to spend a lot of money. any suggestions would be helpful. thanks

felt paper no. better off going with landscape fabric first then the stone. the fabric will help prevent grass growth and such.. the stone will give you the drainage and wont wash away with rain
fire up the saw and make some dust
