    Default paint a shower

    How do I go about painting a fiberglass shower, would just like to change the color.

    I'd use a Zinnzer oil primer for the first coat after you clean the surround real good and dull the finish with a 120 grit sandpaper..clean it again with some denatured alcohol and then prime. Top coat it with a water resistant paint. I'm not going to swear you can use an exterior paint inside cause I don't think you can but check with your paint store on what products they recommend...don't ask them at a box store!

    By the time all is said and done, you'd be better off just calling in a fiberglass refinishing shop to spray a new coat on for you. You'll get professional results and a finish that will last a good 5 to 7 years, maybe longer depending on the use of the shower.

    For that matter they might as well install a new surround...they're not all that expensive.
