Default How to fix drywall ceiling

In my living room the drywall ceiling seams are visible. You can see the tape line down the center and it feels sunken in at the seams which repeats across the room. In some areas the tape is peeling slightly. Is this something I can fix myself by removing the old tape and re-mud and taping or can I just re-apply mud over the existing tape, sand down and paint?

If the tape is lifting, you'll have to remove the loose portion and retape. For hollows, just fill with topping compound, sand, retexture, prime and paint.
