    Question Painting KItchen Cabinets

Painting all wood kitchen cabinets is time consuming, but easy. What was not covered in the most recently posted article is the process used to paint cabinets that have exterior sides that are particle board with a vinyl laminate. Even if there is a method, is it worth the time and effort to paint these cabinets?

    Hey Jerry Spumberg,
I am Gregg with The Home Depot in Chicago. If your cabinets are in good shape structurally and you like the panel layout on the doors then it is definitely worth the time to refinish them. There is actually a new cabinet refinishing kit you can get that will help move things along. With this kit no sanding is necessary and it can be mixed at the store in many different colors.
Here's a link to a video about it. Hope this helps.-Gregg

    Gotogregg,

I reviewed the Rust-Oleum product to which you refer in the post from Tom Webb just a couple posts ago.
