The door to my master bath started squeaking so I lubed it with some silicon spray. Squeak gone but now the door closes by itself. There was apparently enough friction in the hinges to keep the door in whatever position it was left. I now have to put a door stop in front of the door to keep it from closing. It's becoming a pain to move the stop to get behind the door or to put it back afterward. The dog's water dish is in the bathroom and he has closed himself in a few times.
I tried removing the pin and squeezing the hinges tighter with channel-locks but it didn't help.
Any ideas on how to get the door to stop closing itself?
