Default had new ac unit installed last year

installed a new ac unit and outside condenser last fall. The condenser had to be relocated to the side of the house from the previous location in back of the house. The tubing from the ac unit to the condenser had to be run across the garage ceiling to the side of the house. Now I can hear the freon(or what ever the gas is now)going through the tubing, sounds like a high pitched whining. Is this normal or is there anything I can do to get rid of the sound? Any ideas?

You may want to try adding additional supports / clips to the lines (i.e. attach to the garage ceiling in more places than currently) and also make sure the ones in place are secure. Just be careful not to puncture the tubing when installing the new clips.

My assumption is the whining you are hearing is really a high-pitched vibration, either of the tubing against the ceiling or against one of the existing clips.

    Just my two cents.
