Default Carpet Pad on Wood Floor

I just bought a flip house and pulled up the carpet and pad. The floors are still in great shape and have a great shine to them. Unfortunatly bits of the old foam carpet pad are sticking to the floor. I can get down and put some elbow grease into it and rub the gum-like pieces off, but I have two rooms to go and can't feel my fingers anymore. Does anyone have any good ideas other than suck it up and do it.

I would try rubbing the bits of foam with a rag & mineral spirits. The mineral spirits shouldn't affect the floor finish.
Open a window & be careful with the soaked rags.

I tried that approach and the mineral spirits take some off, but the gooey black spots still remain and need a good hard scrubbing to get off.

How about Goo Gone. Be carefull & check that it doesn't effect the finish. Possibly a white scotch pad to scrub it.
Don't use Goof Off. It will most likely take off any finish.
