I got your PM and sent you the same info I sent the OP as per your request.

You need to find your window code information. Peachtree has more than one factory. Might not be the same hardware for your windows.

    Good luck.

I just wanted to thank you all for your wonderful help. I got the replacement parts I needed and installed them in all my windows yesterday. Things went great and now I have windows that will open and close with complete ease.

    Thanks again everyone!!!
Many thanks for the PMs glad you found the information, diagrams and source location helpful.

Gratifying to learn your windows are working well now.

Red face Re: Sash Spring balance replacement

Could you possibly send me the diagram and instructions also? I have 9 Peachtree G3489 - AU Class A - Type AE Double Hung Windows. We had no idea that you had to push down on these before trying to open until I read these posts! It looks as though all strings are broken as we have strings hanging from the windows. I have no idea where to even start!!!! When we try to lift the windows up, if we don't prop them up, they fall right back down. Would appreciate any and all help!! Thanks in advance!!!

I was able to purchase balance springs for my no-name vinyl windows from http://www.swisco.com/

    They also have other parts.
