    Default PEX vs Copper

Anybody care to comment? I have to repipe and have mixed feelings. The contractor will charge the same for copper or PEX. They use Uponor PEX pipe and fittings. Thanks.

If they're charging the same, no question, go with copper. Pex is chosen because it's faster and easier to install, particularly during a retrofit, which is supposed to make it cheaper. Personally, you couldn't PAY me to have it in my house! Rodent's love it and unless you've got the tools to work with it, you can't add to or modify it. I'm also not a fan of plastic and the chemicals that leach from it into the water.
I suffer from CDO ... Its like OCD, but in alphabetical order, LIKE IT SHOULD BE!!!
