    Default Best bartop finish?

Just finished building a bar in my basement and came out great. Bartop is 3/4 inch Oak ply - I'm looking for advice on the best way to finish it. Obviously I will be staining it, but from there I'm not sure if epoxy works best or simply several coats of polyurethane. I want a durable surface that will protect from water marks and any other punishment. Any advice would be appreciated.

When I built mine I used McCloskies semi-gloss poly.
