no Space for Insulation
I purchased a 1925 stone house in Central Virginia recently. I would like to insulate the exterior walls, but the original builder rocked the walls to the inside of the framing. I have no room to blow in foam or cellulose. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with Dow Thermax. I thought that maybe I could adhere it to the inside of the existing plaster walls. Any suggestions would be great.
Re: no Space for Insulation
There is a product that you can add to paint that has a thermal quality to it. It reflects back the heat in the winter and the opposite in the summer. I found it when searching the net for heat resistant paints. The testimonials were convincing enough for me to repaint my walls and ceilings this spring in my 1850's 3 brick uninsulated house.
