Re: Water leaking into walls
Could be the roof, could be flashings, could be something else. Too many variables and too little info on the structure.
What type and how old is the roof?
Is there any plumbing in or near the wall in question?
Is the leak from floor to ceiling?
Are there any windows in this wall, and is the damage worse around the windows?
A leaking roof isn't the cause of termites, those little suckers appear all on their own. They live in the ground and come up into the wood structure to eat. You've got to break any earth to wood contact, replace any critter damaged material, and pick up all rakeable cellulose debris from under the house. This alone may not be enough, you may also have to have a pest company apply chemical treatments to drive the termites away.
I suffer from CDO ... Its like OCD, but in alphabetical order, LIKE IT SHOULD BE!!!
