Im just in the begining process of finishing off another room in my basement. So the outside wall that im gonna stud up is concrete up about 4 feet then framed up with 2x8s to the celing. The stud cavaties are of course insulated pretty well. So im currently debating on either framing from the floor all the way up to celing wiht 2x4s and then adding insulation from floor all the way up. basically doubling up the upper portion of the wall. How do i install the Vapor barrier? all the way to the floor from the celing or do i stop at the start of concrete.. Ive heard both, so im not sure. Ive debated on using spray insualtion but its rather expensive and i cant do it myself.
