Default Can I use LED bulbs in flush mount fixtures?

Our house currently has flush mount fixtures. We have tried the CFL bulbs, but they get too hot and burn out faster than the incandescents. I know that they are going to quit making the incandescents. So, am I going to have to change my light fixtures to something more open, or can I use LED?

you can certainly use LED lights as it has an advantage over CFL's when it comes to instant on and brightness

    Hey Kjeancoop,
I am Gregg with the Home Depot in Chicago and I am slowly changing all my lights to LEDs. I have already replaced the bulbs in my flush mount fixtures with LEDs and they have worked perfectly. The best part about LED light bulbs is that I donít have to worry about replacing them in a very long time. They also save me money on the electric. Even if you could use CFLs in your fixtures I would still recommend LEDs. -Gregg
