Default New materials for porch ceilings? Very large...

Our 16 yr old porch is 60'x 9 1/2'. It also wraps around two sides for another total 20'. Currently the porch ceiling is vinyl soffit material, very unsuitable. It sags and makes quite a racket in the wind, in fact some of it has blown down and torn. We would love to have traditional bead board, but how do we span this large width, or length? We're okay with sheets of 1/2" bead board, but can't seem to find it in 10' length. If we run it parallel with the length of the porch, how do we handle the seams? We would prefer not to have 1x strips crossing every 8'. Can the ends be routered to accommodate the lip of the next piece, thus achieving a seamless look?

Are there new materials out there for this application?
    Thanks for any advice!
