Default Waterproofing grout for shower enclosure

    Hi Folks,

Looks like the bathroom was done very poorly by the builder who built our new home. This time, my question is about the grouting and caulking in the bathroom. It appears like the grouting and caulking work in the bathroom is very faulty. The floor and the shower enclosure wall (not the pan) are tile, and water frequently collects on the tile ledge inside the shower enclosure. My question is how do I waterproof it? I have attached some pictures to help you out.

In picture 1, look for the ledge in the shower enclosure to the left bottom (a razor is placed on it to show it easily in the low res picture). In picture 2, see the caulk cracking between the tile wall and tile floor and the shower pan.

    Any help/insight appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Sonny.
