Just found a great deal on a foureclosed home and now going throught the process of having all the inspections done. We had the city turn on the water and electricity since the house had been winterized for the inspections. During the inspection we found water coming up from what it seems in the middle of the kitchen floor, and has made it's way to the edge of the wall. Being foulclosed we can't tear things up unitl it's ours. But before signing anything i would like to know more about the potential issue in the way of the price to fix etc. The inspector and real estate agent are pushing towards the idea it's a leak in the slab work since no appliances had been turned on at this time. Any help towards the pocess of fault finding and fixing this issue with may be a rough cost would be much apprietiated.
