    Default "medium" insulation

    Hi,
I have a 1951 Cape Cod and it is insulated with insulation that says "medium" on it. I assume it is original because the whole house is insulated with it (walls/attic). Does anyone have a guess as to what it's R-value would be?

What is the material and thickness? You can probably then find the R value on the EPA.GOV site.

Thanks! It is fiberglass rolled insulation. About 2 inches thick so I guess about R6-8.
