    Default water heater shutting down

I installed a blanket on my six year old propane water heater last weekend. Since then my water heater has shut off several times. Do you think it's overheating with this new blanket or do I need it checked out for another problem? Please post if you have had similar problems.

Is your blanket covering the air intake area?

My heater is reset by the blower switch. I found my manual today and the manufacter doesnt recommend blankets. The unit meets the requirements for energy efficent. I will make some slashes along the front of blanket to see if this solves the shutting down problem.
