Default drip flashing below the window

Howdy installing a bunch of windows am using "Z" flashing above the windows but cannot come up with an idea how to flash below the windows. Some are wood aluminum clad, some wood, some no jamb plastic . Anyone have any ideas? Installing them with new cement siding and to make it more interesting also in rain screen walls.

try using either 4" blueskin or vycor. are any of them being replaced, if so do a drip pan on the sils before the new windows go in
fire up the saw and make some dust

Hi J Kirk- thanks for the suggestion all the windows are being replaced and have installed some with window wrap water proofing. What do you mean by drip pan?

basically using 6" vycor/blueskin you run it along the rough sil so its 3" on the sil and 3" down the wall yet wraps up the side of the r.o by 4". any sweat that forms on the window will hit the membrane instead of soaking into the framing and rotting it

Hi thanks i did install the window wrap membrane as had researched how to make the rough opening water tight on several web pages. The method i used is as you suggested . But my question is for a metal flashing that would be installed so water cannot enter below the window and entry behiend the wall siding. I do not think it exists but thought it would be a great item for someone to market...

in regards to under... we make a metal drip pan for doors. as there is no overlap via nailing flange on the sil of a door.. not only that but some membranes arent compatible with siding caulking...

Thanks again J Kirk. I hope the caulking i have been using is not one of them. Looks like i will have to experiment and crate a flashing.
