Question How to keep brass hardware shiny?

I just polished up the brass hardware on our window locks. Is there a lacquer or other material which I can apply to coat them and prevent or retard tarnish?

Any suggestions on cleaning old door hardware are also appreciated.

Stay-Brite is what you're looking for. Woodcraft sells it, IIRC.

Yup...here it is. Good stuff. http://www.woodcraft.com/product.asp...&FamilyID=3260

Works for brass, bronze, copper, etc. Have used it for both indoor and outdoor applications on all of the mentioned metals.....and it will work on others, I'm pretty sure. It lasts a long time (many years). Give the articles two or three "moderate" coats. Will/can look kinda "milky" when applied......but will dry crystal clear.
