    Default Under Sink issues

I noticed yesterday that my sink drain was not connected to the tailpipe. After many tries, I was able to screw it back together (see picture). That no longer seems to be an issue. However, it's not on very tight; does the tail pipe need to be replaced with a plastic slipnut?

Also, see the other attached pic. Water is also leaking from the drain itself. You can see a drop. Does this mean I need a new drain?

This work was done by plumbers who screwed up many things in my house. Let me know if it looks like bad work.

    thank you

The leak will probably be taken care of if you tighten the basket collar. Do you have a nylon compression ring under the nut?
