Just had a water feeder pump installed into an existing steam boiler systme. My question is the the water in the feeder pump is heated and then put into the boiler. However there is a "relief" pipe that comes out of the top of the unit to vent it. There is a tremendous amount of steam that comes out and now the basement is like a sauna and everything is getting soaking wet.....Shouldn't that relief pipe have been vented to the outside somehow?
