Sulpher in the Well
We bought an renovated lakehouse (up here they call them "camps") right on the water. It has a functioning well with a pump. This is a good thing since we use the place throughout the year. However, lately, when we turn on the cold water, anywhere in the house, it strongly stinks of sulpher. We have an energy efficient hot-water-on-demand system that is only 2 years old. In additon, we have an extra exterior filter that obviously is not able to handle the stench. What could be the reason for the sulpher smell? How can we combat it? We'll take any advice or suggestions y'all have on this subject! HELP!
