Thread: Loose Door Lock

  1. #1

    Question Loose Door Lock

On my entry door the area where I put the key in and on the inside where I turn the knob to lock the door is loose and can spin around. How do I tighten it so that both sides are tight. I am not talking about the round cylinder the key goes into I am talking about the area around the cylinder and around the little knob on the inside. That part is loose and can spin around.
    thanks, anthony

If the cylinder where the key goes in doesn't wiggle around, (and any visible screws are tight) the loose shell may be by design. Many locks are made this way to make it difficult to twist it off with a wrench.
