We had radiant heat installed in an addition to our old house. When the thermostat kicks on, we hear banging all over the floor- almost like someone was bouncing a ping pong ball underneath the floor. I keep the temperature constant around the clock, but it happens almost every time the heat kicks on. Any suggestions?
We also have an issue that the heat cannot keep the room up to temperature on cold mornings. We suspected it may have something to do with the rest of the house (hot water radiators) draining the cold radiators, but we just aren't sure. (The addition is on a separate thermostat and is closed off by a door) We've had extra insulation added under the radiant tubing and even got a new more powerful heater to no avail.
Thanks for any advice!
