Question Can peel and sticks tiles go on my tub surround

I used some stone look peel and stick tiles on my bathroom floor and trimed with real stone and it looks great! Can I continue the look on to my flat sufaced acrylic tub/shower on the wall surround behind the tub which is yellowed and so ugly! Or is this something you just don't do? The box said you could grout or not with these tiles on the floor. Will they just come off because of the shower or will their be mildew problems? I don't want to do something that is going to hurt the resale of the house or cause a problem, but I really like the look of the tiles and need a cost effective fix. Any suggestions?

I would recommend against sticking this stuff inside the shower for all the concerns you've posted. If the surround is sound, have it professionally refinished to bring back the showroom quality luster and appearance.
