    Default Clogged Lavatory Drain

My lavatory drain has a stubborn clog. Plunging did not help. I removed the underneath u-shaped pipe and inserted 7 1/2 feet of snake (as far as the snake will go). I can pull nothing out. What would be my next step?

Remove the stopper mechanism and see if the stoppage is above the trap.

Add water while using the snake as sometimes both help loosen up any debris or hair.
    Process of elimination. Good luck.
