    Default removing paneling from plaster

I'd like to remove wainscoat paneling from the plaster walls in my bathroom. It is nailed and glued up. I pulled a small piece of it down, but chunks of plaster came off where it was glued.

Is there a way to cut through the glue to remove the paneling and then work to remove the remaining glue from the plaster?

No. The only choice you have is to remove the paneling, clean up the mess, sc**** and clean the walls, mud the holes, prime and paint. A far less messier solution is simply to cover the current paneling with new drywall.
