    Default Insulation block ventilation?

We have a 1928 brick veneer house with a limestone foundation that is about 20". There is a space above the foundation that feels drafty. We want to insulate that space but I wonder if I can block the air flow that seems to be between the brick veneer and our interior walls. We live in Lexington, KY. John

I found the answer to this question in the December 2008/January 2009 issue of Handy magazine, pg. 60. Under Expert Answers, Senior Editor Dan Cary gives the answer. I won't put that here because I'm not sure of copyright rules.

However, it gives me the proper name for the space where the drafts are and a solution that makes sense. The space is on the inside of the rim joists across the top of the foundation wall. That is 10 inches in my case.
