how do you remove epoxy paint or make it hard on wood? Can latex paint be applied over epoxy paint?

There are paint strippers available at paint stores or home owner stores which will attaqck epoxy paints. Why did you ask if it can be made hard on wood? Did you not get the catalyst/epoxy mixture correct? If so, I would use the stripper to remove the badly cured epoxy.

Generally, you can use latex/acrylic paint over epoxy. However, I would scuff sand the epoxy to assure good adhesion. Many epoxies have a rather slick, high gloss finish. You need to bread that high gloss glaze.
