    Question safely removing thin set

I would like to know the best way to remove thinset on my kitchen backsplash without cracking the granite tiles on the backsplash below. I have already removed mosaic tiles (above the granite) that I installed poorly. Does anyone have any ideas?

take a utility knife and score the grout line and clean all the grout and any morter you see at that joint that seperates the granite from what you want to remove. then start at the top and work your way down, put down some cardboard and dropcloths to protect the countertop. chip one tile out up top with a hammer then get a flat bar underneath the rest of the tile and pop them off
fire up the saw and make some dust
