    Default recycled wood windows

    Hi got a bargain on windows for my sun room the are thermo pain 2 by 5' set in 4" wood jambs did not include the outside trim. What type of wood or other product would you suggest to trim them out? The finsi will be paint. the siding is lap wood.

    You can use poplar, it is an excellent paint grade wood and fairly inexpensive. Properly flashed, caulked and maintained they will last for years. If you don't want to paint you might consider one of the vinyl wood substitutes.

    Thanks Jack for your help. Was wondering if any one had used the composite deck materials for this type of job.

    Most of the composite decking I have seen at the big box stores have had to much trash in them. I have even found metal flakes embedding in them. Played hell with joiner blades.
