im replacing an existing pressure tank at my dads. The original tank hand a 1" hard piped line, by that i mean threaded pipe. I wanna redo it in copper for my ease. The new tank i bought, the ports dont line up with the old. So is it ok to put copper right to the tank?? i know ive use the di-electric unions when i meet copper up to steel before. So is it ok to just screw the copper addapter into the tank and go from there, or should you stub out with steel and use them special unions??
