I have some work being done on a cut ice machine line (halfway between the reverse osmosis and ice maker). The water line was cut while the workers were doing other work and released some water from the top of the wall to the floor. I asked the contractor if the insulation and drywall would need replaced from the bottom to about four feet up before the hole was made to get at the pipe. The contractor said since Las Vegas is so hot and dry the insulation and drywall does not need to be replaced since the insulation and drywall dried out and there is little worry about mold ever forming.

Are these statements true enough that I should not be worried about the contractor cutting corners?

Thank you for the assistance.
