    Default Old Washstand

I have a washstand that belong to my mom. It was varnish and painted and I stripped it down to the bare wood. It looks good because it has a nice aged look to it. I need something to put on it to protect it and yet keep that aged look to it. I don't really want anything that will make it shiny. Can anyone help me with this?

Try either tung oil or Watco Danish Oil. Either will give the wood a nice patina without a glossy varnished look.

Be careful with Tung oil, there a lot of products that say Tung oil that are actually poly with Tung oil added.
