    Repair a hole in a hollow core door

    I sounds like the flapper. I usually replace the entire flushing unit when I replace the flapper, just to be sure everything is good. This usually does not cost much.

    You can patch it, but it may not look good. I would put a small rug over it until you are ready to replace the entire floor. No use in thorwing away money on a patch that may not look good.
