Re: Water issue in "Finished" attached garage

You might want to consider tile and throw rugs for the floor.
  3. Re: Heated floor under a shower, is that legal/safe?

Re: Base Cabinets: Distance from wall?

A drawer in a 12" deep unit doesn't seem very useful to me. Can you buy base cabinets without drawers? Or maybe use open shelving instead?

Or consider installing wall units as lowers. May need...

Re: Base Cabinets: Distance from wall?

I would have someone trim the 15" cabinets to the depth you want. They come unassembled, right?
  6. Re: Hydronic radiant floor heat with wood stove

If you go with wood, check out Morso stoves. We had a fabulous one that heated our entire ranch-style house. You could put in a log, tamp it down, and it would stay warm all night. I really loved...

    Re: Installing washer/dryer in enclosure

I wonder if the water, electrical, and vent hookups are inside the cupboard above.
  10. Re: Ideas for connecting dryer to vent in narrow space

Thanks! Now that I know the flattened vent exists I don't mind hoofing around looking for it.

Thank you to the other responders but no dice. There's no way to make the room bigger; it's...
  11. Ideas for connecting dryer to vent in narrow space

Our washer, dryer and water heater share in a 3 x 8' space in a bathoom. It is separated from the bath by by-pass doors.

The dryer vent comes up through the floor behind it. It's worked great...

Re: Rotten Egg Smell From Faucets Cold Water

We had a rotten egg smell from the cold water faucet when we added a bathroom in our basement. The odor would dissipate if you let the water run a bit, but not really go away completely. The problem...

    Double sided tape?
  14. Re: NEED PLANS FOR A STORAGE CABINET 6'(h) X 4'(w) X 2'(d)

Does it have to be closed storage? You can buy wire racks that size for under $200 depending on how much weight it will hold.
  15. Re: What can i do to make 10 x 5 ft and 8 x 5ft bathrooms look bigger and nicer?

If you need more storage, you might try a cloth or plastic shoe rack hung on the door. You can put toiletries etc. in the pockets.

We get one every spring that bangs on our metal chimney, apparently to attract a mate. Good thing the breeding season is only once a year!

    Re: Emergency Winter Heat

Do you have natural gas or ability to store liquid propane? If so, you may want to consider a freestanding gas stove such as Lopi, or an insert for your fireplace.
