    Re: Pedestal sink drain installation.

WAIT. That's not what you said.

You provided alternatives: 1) terminate the sink drain pipe in the shower drain pipe after the shower p-trap, OR empty into the shower base before the p-trap but...

    Re: Pedestal sink drain installation.

    Thanks Jack.

If I understand you correctly: the sink drain pipe should terminate in the shower drain AFTER the shower p-trap, and then employ a TUDOR vent to avoid siphonation in the sink trap....

    Re: Pedestal sink drain installation.

    Thanks for your feedback.

    Pedestal sink drain installation.

I am introducing a pedestal sink into a small bathroom that previously had only a shower and toilet, and need to install a drain and water pipes through the floor or in the wall next to the shower. ...

    Bathroom subfloor and cement underlayment.

I am getting a subfloor and underlayment in a small bathroom replaced due to dryrot. The builder insists on 3/4 plywood (which is okay) and a 3/4 inch poured cement underlayment over it prior to my...

    Cementing in underlayment before tiling?

Our bathroom floor had linoleum over the flooring and we decided to replace it with a (12 inch) glazed tile floor. The floor underneath is very sturdy and flat. A 1/4 inch underlayment will go under...
