    You would use the same thinset that you'd be setting the tile with, or a modified thinset bag like mentioned above.

    You'll trowel it on and lay the boards out, and then tape them with an alkyline...

    Not sure about any rollers...but I was mentioning getting a few extra wheels for the manual cutters. That's what will actually be doing the work of cutting through the tile and they can get worn down...
