    Re: Stub-out locations (CODE question)

Not a bad idea, but that's assuming that the existing bathroom, plumbed in the 1920s, was installed using 2009 Code requirements.

Thanks for the idea, though! I do appreciate the input!

    Stub-out locations (CODE question)

Does anybody know of any general Code guidelines regarding the placement of stub-outs (supply lines)?
We're converting a BR to a full BA and I'm roughing-in supply for a tub, toilet & sink.

    Re: Installing Penny Round Tile

Have you considered making your own spacers to match the spacing on the mesh?
I haven't done it with penny tile, but it's worked for me in other applications. If you have a table-saw, you could rip...

Re: You know what this website needs?

You know what this website needs?

A tile expert of some kind.

Seriously, I'm surprised by the lack of both amateur opinions here on the Forums, as well as the lack of tile-related articles.
Not that I'm complaining to anyone at...

    Re: scalding hot water

Just an amateur opinion here, but...

If it were me, I'd look at re-plumbing the house. Not fun, I know, but I don't know of a way to really correct the issue otherwise (then again, I'm in...
  8. Re: Replacement Vanity not as deep - vinyl floor too short

So you have a 2" gap, in front of the new vanity, between where the vinyl floor ends and where the new vanity sits?

I'm just an amateur, but I've never had much luck with patching vinyl flooring...

    1" Hexagon tile

Howdy... wondering if anyone has had any experience working with 1" Hexagon tile.

I'm installing this in our new bathroom; specifically, it's unglazed porcelain. The (current) problem I'm...
