    It would be difficult to impossible to find plans that you would be able to use 'as is' unless you found a house identicle to yours down to the inch, that had the addition you are looking for already...

    If you go with galvanized post feet make sure they are Z-rated or they will become corroded because of the way pressure-treated lumber is manufactured these days.

    Alternatively you can use PVC...

    Be honest with the contractors you are dealing with as far as your budget. If they are reputable, they are not going to gouge you. As always get multiple estimates.
