Old heating oil
I recently converted to natural gas. The old oil fired boiler went after I filled up the tank with $1K worth of fuel (what timing). We decided to convert instead of replacing it with a new oil fired boiler. The fuel is in an above ground tank. I was wondering what most people do with the left over oil after a conversion? Do oil companies buy back oil (at reduced rate understandably)?
Re: Old heating oil
An oil company would most likely charge a pumping fee plus pay a lower price. You might be better off selling to a neighbor with oil heat or a diesel tractor.
