how to remove adhesive absorbed from bottom of new granite countertop?
We installed new granite countertops in our kitchen, and we now have several stains in the new countertop.
The workers applied an adhesive and then set the granite. Hours later, we bought groceries and placed it on top of the newly installed top.
When I removed the items from the countertop the next morning, I had stains in the granite outlined by the groceries. I presume the glue hadn't fully dried and the weight of the groceries allowed the adhesive to be absorbed more, under that weight.
Assuming it is adhesive (Liquid Nails from a caulking tube), can this stain be removed? If I apply a poultice, what liquid do I use, acetone? It has been 1 week since the countertop was put on.
