Hi - always read your advice. Just wanted to comment on your easywater comment. You mentioned taping magnets to pipes would work as well as easywater product. Well, I decided to try that. My incoming water pipe is metal but not copper. I stopped at a truck stop and you could buy these super magnets by as many as you can stuff in a small pouch. I managed to stuff it with 12. I took the magnets down to that incoming pipe and spiraled them along a foot of pipe. That was almost a year ago. Well it sort of works. I have super hard water and there is a minor improvement in there being less scale. Of course I balk at the idea of electricity and water so there is no current attached. I have heard that we already have enough disruption in our homes electromagnetic fields. Just wanted to thank you for the weird idea to put some magnets on my water pipe.
Happy Manila Day!
Thank you for the help. I will visit the sites and see what I come up with. I don't know what's under the carpet...that's why if it turns out to be ugly, I wanted to know if it could be painted and look decent.
Thank you for saying I did a good job on the casket. I like to try differt things in my shop and this was one I had to try.
hi im having problem with sewer gas burping up through toilet vent seems clear any ideas
hi jack, john here again with furnace problem, after a week of furnace working great it started again tonight. to refresh, its a armstrong ultra 80sx gas furnace, the ignitor comes on glow brite orange but then pilot does not come on, tryes again then the pilot comes on. happens ever so often. last sat the 3rd repair guy was here and checked it all , thinks maybe a small crack in heat exchanger could be causing the problem. but we also noticed that the inducer motor was draging at startup do u think it would have anything to do with the pilot lite nit lighting on first try?
hi jack, i had a friend of mine send a guy over to check the furnace, he cleaned and checked everthing again took of the pilot tube blue threw it taped it , picked at the orvis with a pin , checked controll board , put it all back together. guess what? the pilot light comes on first try now!i cant believe i spent all that extra money on new parts and sevice calls, and the company i had come out first time is a GOOD honest co, i guess everbody is human and makes mintakes thanks for yous advice on how to check on a cracked heat exchanger. i havent tryed it yet because the furnace seems to be working ok now, i did buy 1 of those carbonmonoxide testers thats seems to be ok, out of 52 people u are the only 1 that replyed thanks JOHNNY D
I really appreciate your response. It's turned me in a new direction(while still pursuing my original question)!
Hi, Thanks for the response the washer is 19 yrs old I was thinking that when it gave up the ghost I was going to replace it with one of the newer top loading models that use less water to help remedy my problem.
Hi you sent me a message about my artisian well loosing pressure. I do not have any wet spots between the well head and the house. So I am guessign I need to open the well head up. Not sure what you are refering to with the nipple and the pitless adapter. If that connection is leaking, does it get tightened or replaced?
Thanks for your advice.
